The first time to understand logistics: a big misunderstanding
I still remember that when I first came to the company for an interview, the interviewer asked me a question: Do you know anything about logistics? At that time, in order to increase the probability of successful application and make a good impression, I answered that I seemed to have some understanding, and then talked about my own views and perceptions on logistics around express delivery. After all, online shopping is so developed, who has confiscated express delivery and gone to the collection point.
But when I really entered the company and was trained to understand the company's business and logistics, I found myself ignorant. I remember what my colleagues said about the three party and four party logistics and trunk logistics, the whole vehicle logistics, less than truckload logistics and road transportation from Baidu, and the in transit monitoring, logistics information platform, transportation system, and the drivers of the cargo fleet. I remembered my talking and cold sweat.
Finally, I found that logistics ≠ express delivery, which is very close to me, while logistics is far away from individual people. Various concepts are completely indistinguishable and difficult to understand. Even if you have developed networks and loving colleagues, you have spent a lot of time, but your understanding of logistics is still superficial, and you often forget one thing and forget another, or simply confused.

First time car following: too hard
I have done many jobs in rotation, and I am very tired and hard, but I am most impressed by following the car, because for me, I am just suffering. I can't do this job with my own physical limit.
The first time I followed a car was from Suzhou to Chengdu. In retrospect, it's a word: bitter; Two words: bitter! In order to understand the matters needing attention with my entourage, and also to enhance the familiarity with the driver, I had met the driver's master early with a worried heart and helped to load the goods. The loading scene is quite different from what I imagined. I thought that there was a crane or other types of machines to help deliver the goods to the big truck, and then the people on the truck would put them in order and then fix them. Unexpectedly, the workers had to find ways to move the goods to the truck themselves, from bottom to top, one by one, several people together, and it took several hours to get them ready. No matter how tired you are, you still have to leave. In the afternoon, my driver and I set foot on the road to Chengdu. At the beginning, I was very excited. I thought I could watch the scenery and eat delicious food. I also caught the driver and asked him many questions. But after a period of time, I felt that I could not sit very well. My waist, hips and neck were very uncomfortable. I always wanted to stand up. What could I do? The driver told me that at the beginning, I must feel uncomfortable. It would be better if I got used to it.
On the way, I slept for a while, and when I woke up, it was dark, while the master was driving all the time; In the middle of the trip, we bought some food. Because the master was afraid to stay away from the car for fear of being stolen goods and oil, we took water, food, etc. to the car. Even if we went to the toilet, we left one person in the car. Shifu told me that there are many things to steal oil and goods, so you should be careful. At night, I had been driving for a long time. I was afraid that my master would doze off. I kept talking, asking questions, and always asking my master: Are you sleepy? It was not until the second half of the night that the master found a place to rest. But even if I had a rest, I didn't dare to really sleep. Instead, I kept alert. Several times, when I met something or made a noise, the master would immediately wake up. He opened the door and got out of the car reflexively, which made me stunned. It also made me nervous. I was afraid that something might happen to me and might delay the master's rest.
In this way, I could not eat well and sleep well, I was highly stressed, I could not sleep for 5 hours a day, and I was extremely tired, so I finally arrived at the destination; During this period, the car also broke down and saw several vehicle accidents. The journey of following the car is not a lonely, helpless and hard one. Sometimes, it feels like you are fighting alone. As far as I can remember, the most important word I said on the bus was that it was too hard, and I kept asking the master how to persist. I can't remember the answer of the master, but the helpless expression is engraved on my mind.
It's not easy to drive a car and transport goods. Now I know!
Facing customers for the first time: embarrassing
Before meeting the customer for the first time, I was full of confidence, because after the torture and smelting of those basic posts, I felt that I was invincible and omnipotent. Nothing could defeat me, and nothing was more tired than carrying goods and cars; In addition, confidence also comes from my own preparation. After staying up for several nights, I changed the plan again and again. I even rehearsed my expression and official greetings in the mirror, and also rehearsed my speech in front of Good Foundation, deducing many questions that the other person may ask and making difficulties, which I have found solutions one by one.
However, when I really walked into the meeting room and looked at the customer's battle, I was still nervous, sweating constantly, and had the illusion of poor breath. When the customer asked me to introduce the plan, I forced myself to open my mouth, but I said the wrong name of the plan with one mouth. Fortunately, I corrected it in time and covered it up very well, but it also interrupted the rhythm of my previous drill. I forgot the prepared scripts, so I had to play on the spot. What I said later, I couldn't remember at all, but I knew it was terrible. Meet customers for the first time, and end up with failure and embarrassment.
But later, for the same customer, I fought again to succeed. Later, after getting familiar with this customer, he teased me about my first performance, which made me laugh.
In the past four years, there have been too many firsts in the logistics career: the first time I tried to urge for payment, I just wanted to bluff and lure; The first time I worked all night until dawn; For the first time, I faced the hardships of the driver directly, and for the first time, I also faced the driver's demand for freight... The first time I transferred goods and loaded vehicles... Time after time, I had the understanding and understanding of logistics. Logistics people, it's really not easy, especially drivers!
